It controls communication with batteries, inverters, safety elements, HVAC, heating and fire systems and keeps all components in a defined mode without the need for operator intervention. \n\t\t\t\t\t\tIn a higher layer, EMS works with real-time data and predictions - it evaluates electricity and gas prices from the OTE exchange, monitors weather forecasts and expected PV production, plans the consumption of the site and can estimate the energy balance in advance. Based on this information, it decides when it is profitable to charge the battery, when to store the energy for its own consumption and when to automatically sell the surplus. As a result, the payback period for the entire investment can be significantly reduced, as the storage system does not only act as a technical support for the site, but also as an active economic element.\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

EMS also coordinates the operation of PV, batteries, CHP, vehicle charging and thermal equipment. It can calculate when it is profitable to produce heat from CHP, when to store energy, when to buy it cheaply at low or negative prices and when it is efficient to change the flow of energy towards the grid.
